How YESI Supports Jean

How has YESI helped you with tuition?

"YESI has supported me since I was in 7th grade, and they continue to help me during my college journey. They have been a huge help in covering my tuition costs, providing financial assistance. This has allowed me to focus on my academics and soccer without the constant stress of figuring out how to afford school."

How would things be different without this help?

"Without YESI, continuing my college and soccer careers would have been extremely difficult. Their support has made it possible for me to compete at the UPSL, NPSL, NCAA Division II and The Bahamas national team. The opportunities I’ve had on the field—and the growth I’ve experienced off the field—would not have been possible without their help."

What Impact has Soccer had in Your Life

What opportunities has soccer given you so far?
"Soccer has opened doors for me both on and off the field. I’ve met incredible people, built lasting connections, and fulfilled my dream of representing my country. I’ve competed against some of the best players in other nations, and soccer has also given me the opportunity to coach younger players, passing on my experiences and knowledge to the next generation."

What have you learned through soccer that helps you in life?

"Soccer has taught me that if you truly want something, you have to go after it—you can’t wait for opportunities to come to you. It has also shown me the importance of communication, teamwork, and helping each other solve problems, both in sports and in everyday life."

Personal Reflection

What does being part of YESI mean to you?

Being part of YESI feels like being part of a family—one that cares deeply about my success and supports me in every situation and I am grateful for that. It’s also a reminder that the younger generation is watching. I want to be a role model for them, showing that anything is possible when you work hard and stay committed.

What would you say to someone thinking about supporting YESI?

Supporting YESI is more than just giving—it’s changing lives. Your support allows students or future generations to focus on education, develop their skills, and pursue their dreams. Every contribution opens doors, creates opportunities, and sends a powerful message that someone believes in us. It’s an investment that makes a lasting difference
