Creating Pathways, Changing Lives
At YESI, we believe that opportunity should extend beyond the soccer field, which is why scholarships are at the heart of our mission. One shining example is Jean, whose education in the United States is being funded by YESI. Jean is currently studying at Daemen University, a proud member of the East Coast Conference (ECC), competing at the NCAA Division II level. His journey reflects our commitment to opening doors for young Bahamians who demonstrate excellence both on and off the pitch.
In addition, YESI provides scholarships to players training with Skillz Soccer Academy, which offers full-time UEFA-licensed coaching and elite player development. Our support not only covers tuition but also funds their travel to the United States to compete in top-level tournaments. Most notably, three members of the U15 team that won gold at the Inter Miami Dreams Cup in 2025 were recipients of YESI scholarships—a groundbreaking achievement for Bahamian soccer.
These scholarships are not just about rewarding football talent—they are awarded to young athletes who excel in the classroom, demonstrate punctuality, respect, and discipline, and embody the values of leadership and integrity. Beyond this, YESI also funded three players to travel and trial with professional clubs in the United States, including the Las Vegas Lights and Detroit City FC of the USL, giving them the chance to showcase their skills on a professional stage.
Through these initiatives, YESI scholarships continue to transform potential into opportunity, helping young Bahamians pursue their dreams, grow as individuals, and inspire the next generation.
